Vom Congress des Chaos Computer Club hatte ich immer wieder mal etwas gehört und nun wollte ich dieses Jahr endlich mal dorthin um mir das Chaos mal in echt anzusehen.
Abenteuerlich war es schon, überhaupt an ein Ticket dafür zu kommen. MIt etwas Glück hatte ich eines bekommen. Allerdings brauchte ich es am Ende glücklicherweise nicht.
Mit Spannung hatte ich diverse Vorabinformationen verfolgt. Und eine davon war der Aufruf der Veranstalter: Kongresszentren sind langweilig. Helft uns es aufzuhübschen.
Und da dachte ich mir: Da habe ich doch etwas: Meine interaktiven Projektionen.
Und es hat mich sehr gefreut, als meine im Frühjahr neu entwickelten “körperreaktiven Projektionen” engagiert wurden. Dabei bewegt man sich vor einer Wand und mit buntem Licht werden diese Bewegungen nachgemalt. Hier gibt es ein paar Videos zu sehen:

Und wie ausgedacht, hat es auch funktioniert: Menschen gingen daran vorbei und manche blieben stehen, als sie bemerkten, dass ihre Bewegungen etwas erzeugen. Und dann spielten sie damit.
Der technische Aufbau:
Hier habe ich auch direkt mit 2 Projektoren gearbeitet. Das erzeugte Bild war über dem eigentlichen oben noch einmal gespiegelt. Das sorgte für weitere Fläche, die “bemalt” wurde.
Der Congress selbst war eine wilde Achterbahnfahrt zwischen den verrücktesten Spielzeugen, skandalträchtigen und inspirierenden Vorträgen und insgesamt einer wirklich tollen Community.
Die Vorträge sind aus den verschiedensten Disziplinen. Manche sicher recht technisch, andere dafür mit politischer Brisanz. Stöbern lohnt sich, da ist sicher für jeden etwas dabei:

Auch andere Künstler hatten tolle Installationen mitgebracht (im englischen Teil gibt es noch ein weiteres Bild).
Nach diesem Abstecher, werde ich mich wieder um meine Show und um die nächste Veröffentlichung kümmern.

I had heard about the Chaos Computer Club Congress from time to time and this year I finally wanted to go there to see the chaos in real life.
It was quite an adventure to even get a ticket for it. With a bit of luck, I managed to get one. Fortunately, I didn’t need it in the end.
I had followed various pieces of information in advance with excitement. And one of them was the organisers’ appeal: ’Congress centres are boring. So I thought to myself: I’ve got something: my interactive projections.
And I was delighted when my in spring newly developed ‘body-reactive projections’ were hired. You move in front of a wall and these movements are recreated with coloured light. You can see a few videos here:

And just as imagined, it worked: People passed by and some stopped when they realised that their movements were creating something. And then they played with it.
The technical structure:
Here I also worked directly with 2 projectors. The generated image was mirrored once again above the actual one. This provided additional space that was ‘painted’.
The congress itself was a wild rollercoaster ride between the craziest toys, scandalous and inspiring talks and a really great community overall.
The presentations are from a wide variety of disciplines. Some are certainly quite technical, others are politically explosive. It’s worth browsing, there’s certainly something for everyone:
