Dieser Song könnte auch von mesh, Camouflage, Minerve oder Depeche Mode stammen, denn er entführt den Zuhörer in einem klassischen Elektropop-Sound und einer eingängigen Melodie in die bunte Vergnügungswelt.

Die „Kirmes des Lebens“ hält dem Paar unzählige Wege bereit, die an Achterbahnen, Riesenrädern, Auto-Scootern, Schiffsschaukeln, Kettenkarussels, uvm. vorbeiführen.
Jedes dieser Fahrgeschäfte hält Herausforderungen des Lebens bereit, an denen das Paar wachsen wird. Freunde begleiten sie, die in schweren Zeiten helfen.
Die Liebe wird immer stärker und immer hilft es, zusammen zu halten. Aber auch das innere Kind darf man mal zur nächsten Attraktion steuern lassen und sich so neue Inspirationen holen.

Der Grundsound basiert auf klassischem SynthPop, ein mystischer und etwas dramatischer Sound begleitet die teils abenteuerlichen Fahrgeschäfte/Lebenssituationen in der Strophe, der im Refrain sich aber immer zum Guten wendet.
Tatsächlich ist der Lead-Sound keine Gitarre sondern ein durch Sound-Design bis zur unkenntlich bearbeitetes Klavier.
Insgesamt ist in vielen Details Sound-Design in diesem Song integriert. Beispielsweise der Intro-Sound ist Stefan des öfteren in ähnlicher Form beim digitalen Videoschnitt begegnet. Das klingt irgendwie verrückt und lustig und musste natürlich Verwendung finden. Natürlich sind auch klassische Kirmesgeräusche verarbeitet. Bei jedem erneutem Hören lässt sich sicher etwas Neues entdecken.

Um die einzelnen Textpassagen zu unterstützen, wurde aus unzähligen Kirmesaufnahmen ein Video zusammen geschnitten. Die meisten Aufnahmen entstanden auf verschiedenen Kirmessen in Nordrhein-Westfalen. Weitere Aufnahmen sind mit freundlicher Unterstützung von Video-Communities.
Außerdem performt Stefan hier in dem eigens für den Song entwickelten Kirmes-Direktor-Anzug.
live
Für die Live-Performance wurde eigens für diesen Song ein Kirmes-Direktor-Anzug entwickelt, das aus Jacke, Stock und Hut besteht und mit vielen LEDs bestückt ist.
Im Hut ist außerdem ein kleiner Bildschirm integriert in dem das Kirmesvideo zu sehen ist. Dieser Anzug ist ebenfalls im Musikvideo zu sehen.
Ein großer Dank für dieses Anzug geht an die bordeigene „Needle Goddess“ Ela Wilke, die sich für das Design und Umsetzung verantwortlich zeichnen darf.

Der Song ist Stefans Liebe seines Lebens und Ehefrau gewidmet.
Die EP enthält noch weitere Versionen des Songs, die sich zwischen 3:42 Min. und 7:47 Min. bewegen.

„go for“
Was man früher als B-Seite bezeichnete, ist hier mit der instrumentalen Version von „go for“ enthalten. Dies ist ebenfalls ein sehr eingängiger SynthPop-Song.
Sehr lange lag dieser im Hangar, war nie ausproduziert, aber auch nie vergessen. Die Melodie geht direkt als Ohrwurm in’s Gehirn und hat sich wohl deshalb immer wieder in Stefans Kopf in den Vordergrund drängen können. Eines schönen Tages hatte er dann endgültig Stefan überzeugt ihn fertig zu stellen.
Die Version mit Gesang wird auf einer späteren Veröffentlichung zu finden sein.
